Long Valley Lodge in Þingeyrar offers a serene retreat with a sauna, sun terrace, and garden. Guests can unwind in the hot tub or enjoy the outdoor seating area with scenic views. The lodge features a bar, daily housekeeping, and luggage storage, along with private bathrooms, mountain and river views, and modern amenities like TVs and electric kettles.

The place is very beautiful, with new furnishings, spotless rooms, and everything you need for a good night’s rest; the staff are courteous and kind. The only downside is that at the entrance they ask you to remove your shoes, but they didn’t provide any slippers, neither upon arrival nor in the room, and the breakfast offered very little variety, falling short of our expectations.

The lodge was comfortable and tastefully decorated, and we were surprised by how curated the interior was, especially since it looks quite basic and isolated from the outside. The staff were friendly and attentive. We stayed after the fishing season had ended and were the only guests, so breakfast was a bit limited, though they did make fresh scrambled eggs for us.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was very clean, and the large, pretty living room was great for a rainy afternoon; free parking was a plus, and the surroundings were very nice. Diego was very kind to us—thanks! The breakfast could use more variety and a better coffee machine.

The facilities are excellent, the rooms are clean and spacious, and there is a sauna and an outdoor hot tub. Unfortunately, the breakfast is a bit sparse.
