The location was perfect for exploring Point Reyes and nearby spots, but the staff vanished after 9 pm. Another couple got locked out and had to wait in the lobby in just their robes because no one answered the after‑hours phone. I ended up going next door to get help from the bartender, who was closing, and only after that did the staff finally assist the couple. It was odd how hard it was to reach anyone before 10 pm on a weekend.

We loved our room—it was big, airy, and comfy, with a lovely bathroom and a roomy walk‑in shower. The view over the quiet grounds was soothing, and we were just a short walk from Due West Tavern, where we enjoyed a great dinner without having to drive again after a long day.

The hotel is very beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the site and facilities are tastefully designed and well maintained; the staff were very helpful in every way. The only thing I’m picky about is that there’s no dresser to store clothing.

I stayed at Olema House and it was absolutely stunning, though the price was steep. The rooms were beautifully decorated, even featuring a fireplace (I haven’t tried using it yet). My room had a cozy nook instead of a balcony, which was perfect for resting. There was no microwave, just a fridge and complimentary wine. At reception you can grab a s'mores kit to use in the back garden by the fire, or you could walk down the creek or just sit on the swing for a moment. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and products. The parking lot was small but adequate for the number of rooms. I did wish there was a desk in the room for my laptop, and the lack of a proper workspace was a bit inconvenient. The property isn’t accessible; there were stairs even in my room, making it tough for elderly guests or those with mobility issues.
