The location by the Neckar in the city centre is generally good and the scenery is very pretty. However, the double rooms were advertised as having private bathrooms, but in reality each room only had a sink; toilets and showers were on the corridor and had to be shared with other guests, making the price unjustified even for the city centre proximity. At night the walk to the boat becomes uncomfortable because it is almost deserted and dark, which should be known beforehand.

From the start you feel like friends; Sabine is indescribably hospitable, warm, and genuinely cares about your well‑being—something you never find in “classic” accommodations. Nostalgia is at its best, everything works and is tailored to modern people. The steamboat is a real vintage old‑timer, yet every cabin has Wi‑Fi, electricity, a sink, and fully restored showers that are authentically located in the hallway. As an old‑timer fan, I was simply thrilled! My expectations were exceeded.

A truly special spot with a fantastic host. We also shared two fun evenings on deck with long‑time guests. Note that the rooms are listed with showers, which isn’t actually available on a ship; the deck has clean single‑room showers and toilets. Everything is fine.

A distinctive place—a weathered houseboat with charm. The host is pleasant. It’s suitable for a night at the stadium with a group, but for a longer stay it’s quite basic. Wi‑Fi was rarely available during my stay, and the boat is very remote; especially at night the roughly 800 feet between the Neckar and the highway are unlit, and using the toilets is a bit of an adjustment.
