Located in central Härnösand, Hotell City features free Wi-Fi, brightly decorated rooms with flat-screen TVs and cable channels, and wooden floors. Stora Torget Square is 80 metres away. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, free coffee, fruit, and cookies, as well as an on-site sauna and relax area. Härnösand Theatre is a 5-minute walk away, and Härnösand Golf Club is 6.5 km distant.

The bed was nice and everything was close by. Breakfast ran out and there was no staff to ask about it.

The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable. Central location. Quiet room. The breakfast was dull and had no fresh bread. The sauna was not in use two of the three evenings, and on the third evening it wasn’t hot (yes, I could have turned it on, but I wanted to sauna right now, not in an hour). Only soap and shampoo were provided; I had to buy conditioner and lotion. No channels except TV4. No lobby and dull common areas. Rough décor in the room and common areas. Flickering bedside lamp. The hotel felt like a hostel.

The breakfast was very good, with tasty coffee and many topping options, but the hot section – the scrambled eggs and bacon – wasn’t warm enough; thinner pancakes would have been better.
