I was thrilled with everything—great location, exceptional staff, and Sarlat itself is a blast to explore, plus nearby villages and prehistoric caves are worth a visit. The only downside is the lack of an elevator; we had to climb a 55‑step circular staircase to reach our room.

The historic building, now a tastefully restored luxury hotel in the village center, impressed us. We appreciated the private, off‑street parking a few blocks away at a nominal fee, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and everything met our expectations.

The hotel sits in an excellent spot in the old city center, and the breakfast was good. The only drawback was a few stairs.
