“Everything was good!”

The location was the best part, but sometimes the street noise made it hard to sleep because my room faced the street; I also didn’t get the exact room shown in the pictures and wasn’t told the apartment was shared, though I had my own room; otherwise everything else was excellent.

“Would suit a Trainspotter”

They gave us nice new white towels, but the title is a complete lie – the property is nowhere near any Penn Station and the trains run past the window, even at 3:30 am, which I heard after being woken by the upstairs Giant at 03:00. The AC cooled the room so much it was freezing, and the next morning I discovered the thermostat was set to 50 °F by another guest, leading to thermostat wars for two nights. The communal kitchen had other guests chatting while I tried to sleep, and the shared bathrooms were inconvenient though there was an alternative. The door lock was weak; I couldn’t open it at first, and it looked like someone had tried to force it open and only rudimentarily repaired it by screwing the architrave back, which was worrying and could be unsafe in an emergency.

The location and proximity to transport, especially Journal Square PATH station, were good, but the place was noisy and there was a smell from downstairs eateries.

I liked the bed and the room was very clean and neat; everything was perfect.

“Worked great for what I wanted and hoped for.”

The place was clean, tidy, quiet, and in a great area close to the PATH train for easy city access; honestly I can’t think of anything that disappointed me.
