“Horrible”
Not much to say positively. A mouse stayed in my room all night, a terrible cold draft came in under the door, the heater was so loud I couldn’t sleep, and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Caledonian Hotel Motel in Hamilton offers ground‑floor suites with private bathrooms, walk‑in showers, free toiletries, a refrigerator, kettle, toaster, and TV. A 4‑minute walk to the Performing Arts Centre and 39 km to Mount Abrupt, free private parking, attentive staff, and excellent value.

The bar food was excellent. The rooms were very plain and below expectations, but the linen and other items were good.

A decent room for the night, good value. The meal at the hotel was amazing, drinks were cheap, and the entertainment was fantastic. The motel room could use a microwave, and better lighting would help when walking from the hotel to the motel because the steps are hard to see and a bit dark.

The staff were friendly, but the shower tiles were missing.

The hotel itself was great, the live band was amazing and we had a blast, until we went to the motel rooms. We were given rooms 1 and 2; room 2 had cigarette burns on the blanket and the TV remote didn’t work. Room 1 smelled awful, like it had been smoked for 20 years with no windows opened, and it should never be rented out again.
