La playita ocean view

The hosts, a couple, were on hand the whole time—letting us use their fridge, giving us a portable cooler with ice, and sorting out tours to see raccoons and go snorkeling. The place felt private, the food was tasty, and Andrés was especially attentive, always checking if we needed anything. The rooms were spacious, the beds spotless, the bathroom never ran out of water, and waking up to the sea, birds and a breeze was just perfect.

I was really disappointed with this spot; there were rodents running around, no water available, and the guy living downstairs acted like a hustler—charging us for a pickup that never happened and then just leaving us. On top of that, ants were everywhere.

“No volvería a hospedarme ahí”

The view was the only thing that stood out, but the service left a lot to be desired. A short storm ripped part of the roof off while the manager was away, and he only showed up the next day without asking why we’d been calling. He never inspected the damage or checked if our stuff got wet. With five people sharing one bathroom for three days, no cleaning was done and the bathrooms smelled awful. All in all, the lack of response to a serious problem made the stay pretty disappointing.

The scenery and staff were both good—the view was nice and the employees were attentive. Unfortunately, the fans in the rooms didn’t work at all, so there was hardly any airflow.

“Una pesadilla”

Being right on the beach is a plus, but everything else fell short. The room was never cleaned after I arrived, breakfast was awful, and the whole place felt unclean. The upstairs shower didn’t work, the faucet gave off a nasty smell, and the lights kept flickering, forcing me to keep asking staff to turn them back on.
