“Kyoto super”

The staff were extremely friendly, picked up our luggage from Tokyo and arranged delivery to the next stop directly from the hotel. Every floor has a fountain for refilling water and a washer/dryer. The room was clean and larger than other places we’ve stayed at. It’s a bit off the main street but still within walking distance of Nishiki Market, and the subway line is a 2‑minute walk.

The hotel’s location is superb, the breakfast is very good with both continental and Japanese options, and overall the value for money is very good. Our double room was spacious, clean, and very well equipped, with a small table and chairs plus an extra desk. The beds were comfortable, the modern air‑conditioning worked well and was very quiet. Unfortunately we couldn’t find a wardrobe (even though it was listed as part of the furnishings) and had to live with our suitcases. The Wi‑Fi was a bit unstable. A bigger issue: when a small financial discrepancy arose at check‑in, the receptionist immediately became very brusque and suddenly claimed she didn’t understand English, even though she had just spoken it well moments before. Weeks after the trip, the disputed amount was transferred back to me unsolicited.

Very comfortable bed, a good breakfast selection and very kind and helpful staff. The location is also very convenient with a metro nearby to explore both the east and west sides of Kyoto

“Perfect location and friendly staff”

Fabulous location, within 5 minute walking distance of the subway station. There are also various restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Nothing else to add.
