I had a mixed experience. On one hand, the owners were incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. On the other hand, the location was quite isolated with no breakfast service and nothing else nearby. Additionally, one should be aware that the hotel is located right next to an area where Islamic prayer broadcasts are blasted through external speakers starting at 4:30, making it impossible to get a full night of uninterrupted sleep.

The place had potential to be nice, but obviously out of season there was nothing except us there. It was a little basic, missing things like teaspoons.

I stayed at a clean place where the owners were very friendly and even took us to the animal sanctuary Trunk & Soul, which was amazing, and then to Pae seafood restaurant, where the food was outstandingly good. However, when we arrived there was no one present, which was a bit worrying for our first night in Phuket. Our Grab Taxi driver stayed with us, which was really nice. Although there is a kettle and two cups, there is no complimentary tea or coffee, which is a definite downer for an English traveller.

The location is convenient to the port and the price is reasonable compared to other properties; the place was clean and suitable for a one‑night stay. The downside is that there appears to be no restaurant on site, so we had to walk 15 minutes on a busy highway to find a decent one. The area offers nothing else except proximity to the port.

The resort features nice little bungalows close to the two piers we used for boat trips, which was great, and the owner/manager is very nice. The problem is that the resort sits next to a mosque, and the prayers over the speaker start at 5am and continue until 9.30pm, making it very loud. Only local Thai places are within walking distance, which may not suit everyone’s taste.
