The second‑floor terrace was lovely with a view of a monument, but we ran out of toilet paper for at least half a day, the dorm’s ventilation was poor so the whole room got damp after showers, and the kitchen wasn’t very clean—I never saw the bottom of the sink.

It’s fairly close to the center, clean, and the AC works well, but the kid running the place is not welcoming or friendly. When I arrived the hostel was overbooked, so I had to change rooms during my stay. He doesn’t accept credit cards and forces you to pay on arrival even at 23:00, while the nearest ATM is 10 minutes away. Breakfast isn’t included, even though it’s listed as optional on Booking. Laundry is self‑service. The room walls are very thin, so we hear all the outside noise, and the beds in the second room were very hard.

The courtyard and balcony vibes are great, and the location is right in the old town.

It’s very close to one of Samarkand’s attractions; every bed has a curtain and the bathrooms are inside the dorms. There’s a kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, the cleaning lady is very friendly, and the hostel’s entry and exit are controlled by a card you receive upon arrival. They provide flip‑flops for use inside. Small shops and supermarkets are nearby. The downside is that the bathrooms, while convenient, have a strong damp smell, and the manager is efficient but can suddenly become unfriendly.
