“I will not book through an on line booking agency in the future!”

The dinner was quite good, though the portions could have been a bit larger. Of all the spots we stayed at on our vacation, Cabot Shores turned out to be the most expensive; we paid $270. for a single night in a room above the kitchen, and the whole room vibrated with the kitchen’s exhaust fan, plus the back door to the kitchen would slam periodically when staff went out to the freezer. The room offered no amenities and felt more like glamping. We found far better places for less than half the price. If you’re renting a room above a kitchen, it should cost far less than what I was charged!

“Probably wont book back here again”

I thought I’d rented a “suite” in a separate building, but we were actually underneath the main lobby/restaurant. The patio door didn’t lock, spiders and webs were everywhere, and while the room was tidy it wasn’t clean at all.

“Sehr herzlich, ungezwungen.”

The breakfast was good and plentiful, the location suited our needs, the whole place feels a bit alternative but very intriguing, the welcome was warm, and there’s live music and a chance to play in the band, but we were very satisfied with the accommodation while the Gelsen in the area were aggressive.

“De l'inattendu, pour un résultat satisfaisant”

The place is a bit off‑beat with lovely scenery and a beach just a ten‑minute walk away, the staff were welcoming, the bistro served healthy food and the atmosphere was cozy; however, our first room was uninhabitable because the restaurant’s fridge rattled below and kitchen exhausts made the opposite wall vibrate. We were moved without hassle or extra charge to a neighboring room for two nights and then to a yurt for the next two, but breakfast, normally included, required a 15 CAD surcharge each day when a buffet was served, totaling an unexpected 60 CAD.
