“Good value bed for the night”
I spent two nights in Room 2, which offered a decent street view from the front of the building. Emma handled all the keybox code communication via email and messages, and I received the information promptly. Checkout was self‑service; I just dropped the keys in a box on the exit. No hosts were on site, though there was a ring doorbell and a cleaner made my bed. The corridor looked a bit dated, but the room itself was functional, well‑appointed, and matched the price. The bed was comfortable, pillows were supplied, and Wi‑Fi was easy to access. The bathroom was clean and well‑maintained. Walking from Southampton Central Station takes about 10‑15 minutes, which was fine. The only real disappointment was the shower: the water was hot but the pressure was weak, and the handle was easy to knock, risking scalding or freezing.
