“A lot of potential but far from reaching it”

The setting is exactly as the photos promised – tucked in the jungle with stunning views. Inside, however, the buildings feel chaotic and in need of a serious clean‑up and some renovation. The staff seem stretched thin and can’t quite get the place to shine the way it could.

“I don’t recommend this place :(”

The surroundings are beautiful – the river is right nearby, breakfast is decent, and the staff are genuinely friendly. Unfortunately, the room feels more like a rundown shed: no Wi‑Fi, broken light switches, a loose bathroom mirror, a shower that sprays everywhere, a leaking fridge, and stairs that are missing steps and look ready to give way. Moldy smells, damp walls, and frequent power cuts with no emergency lighting make the place feel abandoned, despite the staff’s best efforts.

“Fun remote place in our own hut”

The hut was just what we imagined—cozy, with a decent breakfast and friendly staff. The walk up to town takes about ten minutes, so we were never far from the village. The pool, though, looked great online but felt a bit underwhelming in person.

The place sits in a gorgeous spot and the pool is a real highlight. Our room was super comfy, and the staff went above and beyond when I fell ill during my stay.
