The garden was lovely, Ruth was helpful, and it was close to shops and Melbourne Hall, where we went one evening for a play. A spider appeared in the shower, which I squashed. On my departure day I threw away a pair of men’s underpants that had been hidden under the bed drawer.

Everything was clean, comfortable, and the parking was convenient; communication was clear, the owners were charming, and the garden right outside the sliding doors was very nice. The spot was well‑situated, handy for the village centre. We didn’t find anything we disliked.

The location was great, driveway parking worked well, the place was clean and tidy, and the owner seemed nice with good pre‑arrival communication. I would have liked a lock on the room door; it’s not a major problem for me, but my wife would not have liked it if she stayed alone. The curtains are a bit hard to pull shut.

The room was spotless, and everything you need is just a few minutes’ walk to pubs and restaurants. I couldn’t fault anything—perfect.

I liked the room and shower, and the location is great for the town centre. The garden is nice for a coffee spot, but the room is missing a fridge, a hot plate, and a door lock.
