The place is perfect for a quiet stay and saves a night’s travel 5 minutes from the highway. The host is very friendly, a bit grumpy at first but then pleasantly chatty. Her croissants in the morning are great, and she makes excellent honey. The only flaw is the shared bathroom.

The availability and welcoming attitude of Mrs. Germana, whom I discovered had origins close to where I live, made conversation very easy, and her extreme willingness to meet my breakfast needs was impressive. The mosquitoes… but that is certainly not Mrs. Germana’s responsibility; I note that there were none in the room, but I spent some time at the outdoor table and was attacked by them.
