Located on Lake Lipno's banks in Southern Bohemia, the 4-star Wellness Hotel Frymburk features double and family rooms with seating areas, satellite TVs, and bathrooms with bathrobes. Some rooms offer lake or Šumava Mountains views. The hotel includes a spa area with saunas, salt chambers, and a steam bath, plus a water park and sauna world with unlimited entry.

I found the room a bit dirty at times and the mattress was extremely hard. We couldn’t eat dinner at the hotel because a private party was happening there. The city center is close, which is a plus. The “Aquapark” name really doesn’t match what’s there; you’d expect at least two or three slides, but that’s not the case. We also couldn’t use the outdoor area because it was fenced off, which was a real disappointment. We didn’t use the sauna either.

The location was good, as we already knew. The wellness area was diverse and nice. I was disappointed with breakfast, especially after all the praise online. The rolls and bread weren’t very good, and overall the quality of everything we ate wasn’t great.

This is a large, very traditional hotel. The staff were always nice, polite, and efficient. I only stayed one night, so I didn’t get to try the water park and spa that might be the highlight for families. It feels old, cold in a non‑cozy way, old‑fashioned, and not special.
