The staff were friendly and offered a full refund for the overbooking, but the hotel was overbooked and we had to scramble for a new place at the last minute.

“I didn’t stay there I left after 5minutes of arrival it was so horrid. It was unstayable for any human on earth”

Nothing was good; the floor was filthy with sticky stains everywhere, the bedding was covered in dust, the staff were rude and refused a refund. The smell was unbearable. The place stank; the odor was unbelievable, the dirt was an understatement—stains all over the bedding. I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in that bed; it was that dirty. My body got itchy as soon as I walked in. Sticky substance on the carpet floor in the bedroom meant I had to peel my feet off with every step. The smell was so bad it was unbearable, like poo mixed with sickness and B.O.; it was vile, never smelled anything like it before. I wasn’t allowed a front‑door key to enter or leave; I had to ask a strange lady who was half‑dressed when I arrived. She was really rude. If you go out and knock to re‑enter, she goes to bed early, so if you go out when she’s sleeping you can’t get back in until the next day. You’re locked out; she lives there (possibly illegally as it’s some sort of scam). You can’t use the kitchen because she’s cooking or washing or using the bathroom, so the facilities aren’t included as advertised. She makes you feel so uncomfortable you just want to leave. English isn’t the best, so there’s a language barrier. I was there for 5 minutes and told them this isn’t as advertised, can I have a refund please? They refused my refund and abused me, shouted at me for not wanting to stay in the bedroom. The bed, the whole place in general, wasn’t livable; never mind staying or sleeping there. I just left after 5 minutes of entering, lost my money, no refund, and no place to stay; it’s not fit for a dog, never mind a human. It’s some sort of scam; they need to be removed. I travelled down to Stoke on Trent from London to work and couldn’t even attend my conference because of this dilemma; it was truly a nightmare, horrible experience, horrible people.

I was really looking forward to staying here, but things didn't quite go as planned. I got a confusing phone call saying I hadn't paid for my room, which I had definitely paid for. I think they got me mixed up with someone else, and I ended up losing my money. It was a bit of a disaster, but I'm not going to let it put me off looking at this place again.
