We booked a room for 2 days at this hotel, and it really lives up to its stars; they even let us check in 6 hours early without any extra charge. The only downside is the slightly inconvenient location.

The hotel seems brand‑new, so everything is fresh and clean, including the bedding and towels. From the 3rd‑floor room you can catch a glimpse of the Himalayas, and it’s quiet—no street noise thanks to the secluded grounds. The location is good; nearby you can find a decent café, fruit stalls, water, and massage services, and it’s just a 3‑minute walk up to the main street with all its venues. There’s a pool overlooking the mountains, though it lacks lounge chairs; I lounged on the edge and it worked fine as long as no one else was there, because occasionally Indian families with kids come by and it’s a bit uncomfortable, but they usually stay briefly. The staff are responsive; I asked them not to clean the room, just to take out the trash. I wouldn’t recommend their transfer service—it turned out twice as expensive as other options. They offered a free yoga class, but I didn’t manage to attend. The hotel is on the upper floor, so climbing in 40‑degree heat was tough; in cooler weather it’s fine, but getting around in Rigi Kesh is hard, so walking is better. The only complaint is the noisy air‑conditioner, which I had to turn off at night, though a fan could be left on.
