Staying at Sultan Private Desert Camp was a truly unique experience. Spending a night under a sky full of stars was unforgettable, and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. The brothers who own the camp are incredibly hospitable and go above and beyond to make sure every guest's needs are met. They are wonderful company and shared so many fascinating stories about Omani life and culture. We highly recommend this place!

We had an exceptional night! With our 3 children we slept under the stars. We were alone with the desert silence, the stars and the moon as a bedside lamp. At arrival the beds were in the tent but they offered to put them outside to be cooler. It was great to wake up with the sun rising gently over the dunes. Dinner and breakfast were very good and hearty. The 20‑minute camel walk was perfect for an initiation. The hosts were very friendly, thanks to our driver Abdela for making up for our delay and letting us see the sunset 😊

We were lucky to be the only ones in this satellite camp of 4 tents. The kindness, listening, and meals were of great quality. A big moment of nature and calm.

It is difficult to apply the same satisfaction criteria in a place where you know in advance that the comfort will not be that of a hotel with all its amenities and especially that the water is not limited. Despite that we were surprised by the organization of this camp which, despite the disadvantages mentioned above, can receive and feed its guests very well. We were lodged 1 km from the main camp in a camp of 4 tents, only two of which were occupied, ours included. We were escorted by our hosts to this camp and also taken back the next day to the main camp. We benefited from a very comfortable tent with a small individual tent for the toilets just a few meters away, a comfort we had not imagined beforehand. Our hosts were perfect, we were very well received and when our car battery failed the next day, they went out of their way to help us and let us leave. If you don't have a 4x4 (essential), the hosts offer to take you from Al Wasil, the village at the edge of the desert, for a fee.
