The Priory Hotel, nestled in historic Caerleon on the River Usk, dates back to 1180 as a Cistercian monastery. This 12th-century hotel features à la carte dining, secluded grounds, and picturesque views from traditional rooms with period features, flat-screen TVs, and work desks. Breakfast is served in the Oak Panel Room with antique stained glass and wooden panels from 1622.

The spot was spot on, and the building really has character and history; my room had everything I needed and felt cozy, and the staff were friendly and courteous.
