Modern rooms with WiFi and cable TV, plus cosy bathrooms with showers, are offered. Regional cuisine is served at Restaurant No. 18. The hotel is 400m from the Alttolkewitz tram stop, with 20-minute tram rides to Zwinger Palace and Frauenkirche Church.

The place was clean, the staff were friendly and check‑in was a breeze, but the location felt too remote and secluded. A window without shade let in light right at sunrise, and there was no kettle or fridge in the room. The building looked a bit older and could use some renovation.

The setting is quiet and you can walk to the Elbe in 5‑10 minutes; the staff are helpful. The facilities are fairly basic, and the breakfast room feels cramped. The hotel tries to ease peak times by asking guests about their breakfast schedules, but this only partially works for bus tour groups.

There is no fridge in the room, the breakfast was very simple, with no scrambled eggs – unacceptable for a four‑star hotel. It was very noisy at night on the hallway floors because of traveling groups, so I complained.
