The spot was decent, just a 5‑minute walk to Mitad del Mundo. Built in the 1960‑70s, the upkeep was basically nonexistent; I felt totally misled. Black mould was on the ceiling above the shower, abandoned buildings and a swimming pool were nearby, and another pool looked unhygienic. Old people’s hairs covered our bedding, the toilet paper holder was rusted, the shower head sprayed water across the floor, and lamps had no bulbs. It was one of the most uncomfortable stays I’ve ever had.

This place feels made for anyone wanting to visit the equator, just a few hundred metres away. Both major equator sites are comfortably walkable. Our group got spacious rooms, quick check‑in, and the equipment and cleanliness were fine. Breakfast was a great experience, the hosts were very kind, and the kids enjoyed the pool. A large grocery store and several restaurants are within walking distance. The area is quiet, the premises are guarded, and parking is hassle‑free. A taxi from the airport or to Quito takes about an hour and isn’t expensive.

“Für einen kurzen Layover okay”

The location was near Mitad del Mundo, with restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The airport shuttle was great, and we used it for the return trip. It was acceptable for a layover but felt a bit pricey in comparison. The place wasn’t very clean; for a short stop it was okay. Everything was old‑fashioned. The pools were empty. It was extremely noisy, and at night hard‑style techno played loudly nearby for hours, making it hard to find quiet. The bedside lamp didn’t work and there was only one outlet.

“Muy mal mantenido”

The staff were very friendly, and the location was excellent right in front of the equator. It seemed like a great hotel in the past with first‑rate facilities, but it appears to be in decline due to poor maintenance.

“I heated I won’t ever go back there again”

Nothing good—this is the worst hotel ever. I never recommend it to anyone. It looks like an abandoned hunting lodge, dark and empty.
