The hotel felt premium and was absolutely excellent, with a very good price in Foshan. The breakfast spread was huge, offering both Chinese and Western options, and the place was spotless—no negatives at all.

A spacious and clean room with an extensive breakfast. Communication was a bit tricky; I had to adjust the booking online and couldn’t do it at the front desk.

The housekeeping team was incredibly warm and welcoming, which contrasted with the check‑in desk that, while polite, felt very cold and gave the impression we were a nuisance. The rest of the staff were excellent. Breakfast was extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options. The pool was great, though it was the first time at a Marriott or similar hotel that I was asked to buy a swim cap to use it, which was disappointing. The sauna and hammam were nice but not very clean. The rooms were beautiful, tidy, spacious and comfortable. Several shops and restaurants downstairs (Luckin, Lawson, convenience stores, food trucks, a Western restaurant, etc.) were handy. The lobby and interior décor were very attractive, making the hotel a solid choice for a 2‑3‑day stay. The building itself is stunning but looks under construction, with no guests in the mall, which felt odd and a bit eerie at night. It’s a fair walk to the metro and about 20‑30 minutes by Didi to the city centre depending on traffic. The hammam was dirty, with hair and green algae everywhere, not very hygienic (the sauna was very clean). The fridge provided didn’t chill at all. This Marriott still has work to do, but I’m sure it will be perfect in the future.
