“Very good for the price”
The price was very cheap for a reasonably comfortable hotel near the city centre, so I can’t complain too much about the issues. A good supermarket and several train stations are all within a 5 min walk. The room was tiny as expected but had an effective air‑con unit and a shared fridge and microwave. Everything stayed clean. The roof also offered a nice view. The stove and toaster oven on our floor didn’t work, and the shared bathroom had a slight mildew smell (partly because other guests didn’t turn on the fan or open the window when showering, and the bathroom has floorboards instead of tiles).
“ここまで狭かったら1周回ってオモロい”
The room had a decent amount of appliances and basic necessities; the outlets were handy and spread throughout the space. The room was ridiculously small—possibly even smaller than a single room at home. The toilet and shower were shared; they had locks but if someone forgets to lock, anyone can get in (the hot spring is a short walk away). The lobby offered luggage storage, but with no staff present it was just left there, which felt risky and scary.
