The location wasn’t the worst if you consider the whole region rather than just the distance to a single attraction (like a lake or canyon). Only a standard breakfast (eggs and sausages) was available, with no vegetarian option. The manager was very distrustful of guests, accepted only cash, and there were no ATMs or currency exchange places within about 200 km of the hotel.

Even after I had completed the booking and received a reservation number, the place still claimed the reservation wasn’t confirmed and cancelled it on the same day. Thanks to the guide I was traveling with, I managed to snag a similar property at a discounted rate, and the quality there was satisfactory, but it was still frustrating to be turned away at check‑in and to miss staying at the place I’d booked. If you’re planning to book here, double‑check the reservation status. Also, the only way to contact the property is by phone, so unless you’re a local it’ll be hard to communicate.

The location is great, secluded, and consists of two cabins, which is nice because there aren’t many people around. We rented a cabin for a day; the cabin itself was cozy, but the service left a lot to be desired. Personal hygiene items like a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo were not provided. There was no microwave, which is a real drawback because you can’t cook there, and heating food from the fridge is impossible. In the morning we were served breakfast that consisted of two eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, and that’s it—no sausages to fry. The bread was stale, so we didn’t eat it. What really upset us was that breakfast was only for two people, even though we paid for four because we had children. We gave our breakfast to the kids, and we almost went hungry. The mattress on the second floor was awful, with springs sticking out, making it impossible to sleep. We had to beg for a proper bed, and there was no dishwashing detergent. I hope the hosts read this feedback and fix these shortcomings.

The privacy, space, and location were excellent. I wish there had been at least one small fan, and the toilet water seemed to be powered by electricity, which caused a few electric shocks.

Located in the mountain‑side cottage of Saty village, after entering the town you turn right at the blue mosque. The host is a friendly gentleman who kindly informed us that in the evenings, when it gets cold, the sofa in the house has plenty of blankets, so two layers are enough. I’m sorry we were in a hurry when we left and accidentally spilled coffee. Breakfast was delicious, the jam tasted great, and waking up to a beautiful view of the Tianshan mountains was a treat.
