The swimming pool was fine, but the vending machine took our money and when we paid a $100 deposit the clerk never mentioned that it would take 7–10 days to be refunded. The next day he called asking if I had taken a picture off the wall—like, seriously?

“You could do better value in a nearby city.”

This was my second stay, and while it was okay, it was nothing remarkable; I’d recommend looking elsewhere for better value in Frankfurt. The check‑in and breakfast staff were pleasant, but the place felt buggy—maybe because of the meadowing lawns or just the usual. The experience was ordinary for the money paid, and there were no waffles even though a machine was present.

The spot is convenient for visiting Buffalo Trace Distillery, but there are better hotels nearby. The website looked better and decent reviews had me book early. The pool was nice; we didn’t swim but sat poolside and at a table. Outside there were no other seating options besides the pool area. The staff seemed fine, but I’d choose a different hotel for the rest of our stay. Bugs were flying in the bathroom and main area, which is unacceptable after traveling. The tub faucet was crooked and exposed but still hot. Floors were dirty, so we had to wipe our white blankets with a towel before and after using the bed. The fridge wasn’t working, so we moved furniture to check and had to plug it in, which was fine I guess. I wouldn’t stay here again; there are better options just up the road.
