Wingate by Wyndham Anchorage Downtown - Ship Creek

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's location, but unfortunately, it fell short in terms of cleanliness and overall quality. The property had a motel-like feel, with trash scattered around and a strong unpleasant odor. Despite this, the location was a major plus, making it a decent choice for travelers.

I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel's complimentary breakfast, which offered an impressive spread. However, it's worth noting that the breakfast area can get quite crowded, so it's best to get there early to avoid the rush. The hotel's proximity to the town train station is also a major plus, making it easy to get around. Overall, I was pleased with my stay.

“Good price but the place needs a remodel”

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was marred by its uninviting location, which seemed particularly bleak during the winter months. While I was initially disappointed, I was even more disheartened by the hotel's struggles with maintaining a clean environment. Despite these issues, I would have liked to have given the hotel a chance to redeem itself.

“Worst hotel in anchorage”

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was a complete disaster from start to finish. The room looked nothing like the pictures, and I even stepped on a nail in our room, which was a huge safety concern. To make matters worse, the hotel offered a paltry $11 credit as compensation, which was laughable. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Go go”

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag, with the cleanliness and value for money being major positives. However, the hotel's location was a major drawback, with the constant noise from the upper floors being a particular nuisance. I was woken up multiple times in the early hours of the morning by the sound of boots stomping around, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
