The balcony attached to the room was superb, perfect for listening to nature’s sounds, and the four‑poster bed was nice too. The food, however, fell short: the chef over‑salted dishes, the quality was far below resort standards I’m used to, and the presentation was average.

The resort was calm with No Disturbance. The bathroom could have been more modern. The food was ridiculously expensive—you should compare prices with nearby restaurants and resorts.

The villa was large and located within the plantation. The staff were very professional and polite. The complimentary guided plantation tour was a welcome add‑on. The food was okay, but could have been better in taste.

We needed a quick escape from Bangalore, and Birchwood Retreat near Madikeri delivered. The whole jungle‑stay vibe is amazing—dense greenery, complete peace, and no city chaos. The rain turned up while we were there, which made everything feel super magical and moody. The spot itself and the overall vibe are 10/10. The only downside was the food; the restaurant is fine but a bit overpriced for what you get.
