“Disappointing. Won't come again.”
The hotel is large and sits right on the water, with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. However, the place claims to offer authentic southern hospitality, yet it feels like a big, cold business hotel from the moment you enter. The receptionist never greets you with a warm hello, and it seems everything you do or ask for will cost extra. Parking is only friendly if you choose valet, and even then it's not very friendly. Breakfast costs extra. A bike ride into town—really too far to walk—also costs extra. A shuttle into town requires a call, and if someone else has called before you, you must wait for the next shuttle. Getting towels or a drink at the pool is too difficult. At no point did I feel any hospitality. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone from Europe hoping to taste southern hospitality.
