“Abzocke im Teegebiet”
The view is good from a distance. On the one hand, the place is overrated because it has nothing left of a manageable mountain village. It can best be described as overly focused on tourism. Regarding the accommodation, we booked a cabin for 4 people. I would say it needs a renovation at best. The upper bathroom was too low for an adult, there was no shower partition so the toilet was washed by the same water. The sink was positioned so that, besides the normal drain, a lot of water dripped over the washbasin or simply ran, dripping onto the floor and somehow flowing away. The rattan chairs outside were damaged (porous from the sun) with many loose “threads,” so we barely dared to sit. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not judging by European standards. Faulty switches, stairs with uneven steps and gaps, wobbly terraces, or sagging beds don’t bother me. But there are limits. Especially for the price (it was the most expensive hotel on our route), it was by far the worst. The price/quality ratio is underground. The whole place is a pure tourist rip-off. Sorry, but I can’t say it any other way.
