Ecolodge Tres Lagunas - Selva Lacandona, nestled in the rainforest, adjoins the Lacandon Jungle Crocodile Sanctuary. This rustic Mayan-style complex features traditional thatched bungalows, a restaurant, and gardens. Located in a Mayan Community Reserve, it offers guided jungle tours, rafting, and visits to archaelogical sites. The lodge is 133 km from Palenque, between Montes Azules Nature Reserve and the Guatemalan border, with bicycle rental and free parking.

I had a wonderful stay at this eco-park, despite it being located on a road, the surrounding jungle atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. Our host, Pablo, was extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Although the area is still recovering from the impact of COVID, our experience was truly special and we'd definitely return. The only drawback was the lack of an on-site restaurant, but there are plenty of options nearby.
