Domingo x Casa Norte in Birgu is a recently renovated guest house featuring air‑conditioned rooms with balconies, private bathrooms, and free WiFi. Guests enjoy private check‑in/out, a paid shuttle, minimarket, hairdresser, bicycle parking, bike and car hire, and luggage storage. A terrace overlooks the town, and Rinella Bay Beach is a 16‑minute walk away.

The spot was wonderful, we were near Valetta and had a stunning view of Birgu from the upper terrace. The balcony was amazing and the bed was comfortable. The shower façade was damaged, but it didn’t cause any inconvenience.

The owners were easy to contact and responded fast. Birgu looked fantastic and the property sits almost in the city centre. The minibar was fully stocked. A hairdryer and steamer were on site, so we could leave the room tidy. Built‑in chargers were advertised, but we didn’t see them, so we brought our own charger and adapter, which turned out unnecessary. If you’re planning to swim, know that Birgu doesn’t have sandy beaches; the only swimming spots are in the port, good for a quick dip but not a full day.

The place is very welcoming in a quiet, evocative location. The owners are very kind and eager to meet any request. The only downside is that there’s no housekeeping or linen change service during the stay.

The location is great, very calm, beautiful and historic, with shops and restaurants nearby.

The location is good. The room was modern and clean. The downside was the noise from other guests who weren’t careful at night. On the second night we were woken at 3 am by the front doors being slammed loudly and people talking loudly. Also, because it’s an old building, everything echoes.
