The heavy roadwork right next to the hotel made it really tough to get there.
The hostel was tidy, each room had its own bathroom, and the breakfast was good.
The location and view were nice, but there was a strange smell like a stable, a lot of flies, no TV in the room (they claimed the TV was only for luxury rooms), and breakfast was a very limited buffet.
“Distant independence”
This quiet, clean hotel usually doubles as a boarding school during the year, and the staff were helpful; parking was free right next to the building, the internet was fast, breakfast was tasty, and the bed was comfy. However, it’s far from the city center, you have to put on and take off bedding yourself, the room is small, the bathroom is raised, and the building layout feels oddly organized. Because of the ongoing road construction, I struggled to find the hotel, had to call the staff for step‑by‑step directions, and that was a huge inconvenience.
The breakfast buffet was delicious, there was a laundry area with a dryer, a small communal kitchen with a fridge, it sits directly on the bike route to Oslo, and public transport is good for exploring the city.
