Great quiet spot in the middle of the vineyards. The wine is probably one of the best in Tuscany. Very friendly staff and very helpful, especially Laura – very helpful, service‑oriented and very committed, extraordinary! Great wine tasting, very good wines and very informative! Great art objects everywhere. Plus great culinary recommendations! Nice, well‑maintained pool with a calm, dreamy view and good parking. We were in the annex about 2 km from the main house, in the apartment on the ground floor, and we had a great view from the terrace! Since we’re already in October, the vaulted rooms were very damp and basically very dark, as only a few windows are present. Note: the shower in the bathroom had mould in the seams and the cabin, maybe renew it once. Check the tap in the guest WC. Secure the fridge, as it might come off when opened.

“Alles wirklich wunderbar”

Fantastic location right in the vineyard. The only issue was that the shower had some renovation backlog, but it will be replaced in 2027.

“location top - value for money flop”

The macro location in Castellina in Chianti is great, and the micro location with its north/northeast orientation is passable. The bed is very good. However, Nittardi offers no help for the macro location; what matters is what they do for guests’ comfort. They provide a barn with a bed and a cheap IKEA kitchenette that is badly equipped—missing basics like a cheese grater (in Italy) or a hand juicer, and the kitchen knife doesn’t even cut cherry tomatoes. There’s no serving tray or placemats. The mosquito net has a hole. No power strip, and the cords on most appliances—such as the kettle—are too short. Guests are told to conserve water, yet the lawn by the pool is watered every night. Hot water is generated by diesel combustion. If there were a decent coffee machine and a milk frother, it would be a lovely spot for a cappuccino, and you wouldn’t have to drive to Castellina in Chianti or elsewhere. There would be enough space for all that equipment. Very poor value for money, €160 per night. The price is driven by the location—something the hosts can’t control—rather than by the quality of the service and equipment they provide.

Wonderful stay at Nittardi. The staff were friendly, available and attentive, especially Federica. The apartment was perfect, the facilities very pleasant, and the wine was excellent! We’ll come back on our next trip to Tuscany.

“The Tuscan Dream”

The property was gorgeous! The unit was very spacious for my group of six people. Plenty of activities on site. Federica and Laura were amazing hosts! No complaints.
