When asked, they cooked for us; the home‑cooked food was excellent, the breakfast a poem, all homemade: bread, butter, cheese, eggs, jam, milk.

“Gazde amabile”

The descent into the valley up to the Ciumarna village on the Via Transilvanica trail is superb; the rooms are comfortable and the traditional food is delicious, they served us homemade jam. The next morning they drove us up the trail in a car.

“Cozy, warm and traditional romanian hospitality.”

The traditional home‑cooked meals are amazing, made with fresh, homemade products. The beds are lovely with a warm, cozy vibe, especially in cooler months. Sometimes a local rooster wakes you, sometimes birds sing outside. I felt right at home! The people are amazing, available and ready to make you feel at home, and you can park inside. The house could be shown better in messages or on the map because we had a bit of trouble finding it and ended up in someone else’s backyard.

The hospitality and food were indescribable, giving a truly warm Romanian vibe; sometimes a place doesn’t need to look perfect to have everything you need. Nothing to complain about.

“Superb.”

The area was superb, the atmosphere warm and calm with welcoming hosts ready to help with everything we wanted. The hosts were very welcoming.
