Holiday Inn Express Cambridge West - Cambourne by IHG

“Comfort and quietness.”

The staff were excellent, the welcome friendly, and the room great. The area is very quiet because the small town of Cambourne is still being built—so much so that a normal car or even TomTom navigation couldn’t find it and I had to drive around a few miles until Google Maps finally guided me there.

“Good but could be better”

The location gives easy access to Cambridge and beyond, and the staff were helpful and pleasant. I couldn’t get a Twin room even though my booking listed Twin/Standard, so I assumed that was what I’d receive; the staff tried to change it but nothing was available. The dinner options were poor—Thai chicken curry had hard, inedible meat. The food was just not good, so the restaurant needs an upgrade if guests are to stay and dine at night. We had to look locally for meals instead.
