Dream Cottage Nuwara Eliya

I appreciated the spacious room and the building’s aesthetic exterior. The local breakfast was delicious! Unfortunately, the room wasn’t well insulated against the strong valley wind; the doors rattled loudly all night, ruining my sleep. The view from the front of the house was a construction site, dampening the scenic vibe. There were no nearby shops, so I had to keep my supplies inside or wait for a taxi. Inside, the room was dusty, especially the walls.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive – the best part of the accommodation! The location near Gregory Lakes was convenient (about 15 min on foot). We received a complimentary upgrade to a better room, which pleased us. Breakfast was excellent! On the downside, the rooms and the whole property feel a bit outdated compared to the photos. Our room was very noisy; guests above us held a party all night, making sleep impossible. A huge construction site right next to the hotel also spoiled the idyllic view.

“Dreamy cottages”

The views were spectacular and the setting beautiful. The staff were friendly and the room comfortable. We ate at the hotel for an evening meal, a lunch, and a breakfast; all were delicious and offered good value, but the service was slow. We suggest pre‑ordering lunch. Although the bedroom view was amazing, it offered little privacy. A higher floor or tinted glass to the waist might have been preferable.
