“A Castle, an Ocean and a View That's Hard to Beat!”

We stayed at Castle on the Heads for four nights, and the location is undoubtedly the star of the show! Perched above the ocean, the property enjoys a spectacular setting with sweeping coastal views. The architecture is distinctive, and the entire place has a character that sets it apart from your typical hotel or guesthouse. The location also makes it an excellent base for exploring Knysna and the beautiful Garden Route. And with scenery like this, sometimes the best activity is simply doing absolutely nothing and enjoying the view. If you're going to call your property a castle, you had better deliver something special. This one certainly has the location to justify the name!. One slightly concerning issue was the bathtub water, which had a noticeable yellowish tint. Unfortunately, I only realised this after I'd already finished my bath! Thankfully, I didn't experience any problems afterwards, but it's certainly something the property should investigate. At a property of this standard, guests should be able to expect clean, clear water without having to inspect it before taking a bath. Not a major setback to an otherwise lovely stay, but definitely worth addressing

The staff were friendly and the surroundings were beautiful, but I would have liked the TV to be positioned in the center instead of to the side.
