The grill restaurant and the pools were great, but the breakfast got too crowded on some days.

We loved our first visit, which is why we came back, but this time we had to deal with a hotel in full renovation, with several areas closed, which definitely altered the experience. In the restaurant service we felt there was a lack of leadership and coordination; at times the staff seemed tired and the service lacked energy. Interestingly, over the weekend it seemed a shift or team change had happened and the service improved noticeably. Another key issue was the check‑in: there was a long line, and while we understand the main entrance was closed for renovation, only two desks were operating. They could have temporarily opened the bar next to the café, not just for membership sales but also to assist with check‑in and smooth the flow for arriving guests. We stayed in a new area, but some details were still unfinished or needed fixing: water leaks, AC condensation, and minor issues with doors and bathrooms. These are small things, yet they should have been fully checked before handing over rooms. What really made a difference was Laura, the Manager. Her attentiveness to us was spectacular. Some people truly impact a guest’s experience, and Laura is one of them. Thank you for your care and follow‑up. I also want to acknowledge a young man who was on duty at the beach, always attentive to guests; he helped us a lot and resolved our check‑out questions excellently. His service attitude was pleasantly surprising. The bartender, Evaristo, as always, was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Excellent service.

“Mala”

Honestly, it wasn’t what I expected. The staff were awful; I thought that being Mexican they would be a bit more friendly. The restaurants always had a waiting list for us, and we saw how an American tourist was attended differently—sad to see such unequal treatment in Mexico, where we thought we’d have a pleasant vacation and pay for something we couldn’t enjoy. The pools were closed too early, and the rooms we booked weren’t the ones we received. When you buy online, you should be sure everything is as advertised.

“Muy bonito resort!”

A very pretty resort in the middle of the Maya jungle. The night with the Mariachi took the palms away, simply fun!! It’s understandable, but there is noise and ongoing renovations.

“Cómodo, agradable, relajado pero con poca opción en buffet.”

The overall cleanliness of the place is always excellent, except for the bathroom in El Patio, which wasn’t clean. The food at World Café is only average; the variety is limited and the grill area is always the same. The pork and beef lack flavor and are a bit tough. The seafood and fish run out quickly and the protein refills are slow. However, the sauces and soups are very good.
