The building was well maintained; the rooms were small, the toilets were on the hallway, but it was good for sleeping. We really enjoyed the young man helping his grandma run the business—he’s smart and we talked a lot with him. They overbooked for a big event, but they sorted everything out and made enough space for all guests.

Almira, the landlady, was incredibly kind and accommodating, and everyone else was friendly, making our stay unforgettable. She let my friend and me leave our bags on the property after check‑out at no extra cost, which was the best possible gesture.

This hostel instantly reminded me of the first youth hostels I visited in France during the 1970s, both in design and spirit, so I really enjoyed my stay. Walking to the lake shore for a swim is easy, passing the 24/7 Globus supermarket along the way. I’m very grateful to the lady for all her efforts to make our stay pleasant and maintain excellent cleanliness. I had a bit of trouble finding the place the first time because Google Maps isn’t reliable here; the 2GIS app is the real reference in Central Asia, but the hostel isn’t responsible for that.

A very pleasant place. The people are kind, willing to help with anything, and will accommodate you. The communal kitchen is clean and nice. The rooms offer good mountain views and you sleep well. Thanks!
