The Woodpecker shepherd hut

Nice walks ,. The hut was nice and had what you needed for the night/ bed was comfortable and clean / something at the windows would be nice as there was know privacy from people walking past , we had a couple of tents opposite so there wasn't really a woodland view as I was expecting, Overall it was fine but not as relaxing and secluded as i thought it would ve from the photos , 0

“I loved the place snd will probably return despite a few small inconveniences. Amazing location”

The location, simplicity, and bird sounds were great. It stayed warm despite a cold night, and the bed was comfortable. I was unaware of the sauna charge beforehand, and while I did see the towel charge, the lack of coffee for the cafetière (only a coffee maker) surprised me and spoiled the morning a bit—some mention of these in the introductory email would have helped.

“Clean, great facilities, quiet and perfect location for a relaxing break away”

A truly lovely, quaint little place for a quiet getaway. The steps are very steep, so be careful. The only suggestion is to add a splashback by the hob area to protect the shepherd’s hut itself.

I recently stayed at a secluded retreat that offered a peaceful atmosphere and a lovely sauna. The hut itself was well-equipped and cozy, but I felt it was a bit pricey for what I got. Unfortunately, I found myself shivering at night despite the heating, and a few extra blankets would have made a big difference.
