The castle’s spiral staircase led to a tower bedroom with a king‑size bed, and I found myself in a quiet, peaceful corner after a long drive from the south. The tower has its own history, everything was arranged homely and cozy, and it sits in a quiet spot on the town’s outskirts. The lovely Fairy owner welcomed us for one night, and after a hot bath and a couple of glasses of Prosecco we slept like babies in a manger, for which we’re hugely grateful and send hugs.
