Close to the subway, train, and bus station, yet the room had never been maintained for years, with mold everywhere around the windows, bathroom, and toilet, and it wasn’t cleaned properly.

The bathroom sink wasn’t hooked up to a drain, so water ran onto the floor, and a note at reception warned that towels might be discoloured from detergent stains; the towels themselves were old, thin, heavily stained and even had holes up to 4 cm, the bathroom grout around the wall, floor and glass was covered in mold, and the duvet cover had a few small red spots. After reporting these issues I was moved to another room with two large double beds, but I still had to go back to reception to get clean, unstained towels.

The best part was the secure parking, which made driving there very reassuring, and the staff were quick to tidy the room – during my six‑day stay they cleaned once after I asked, and they always provided fresh towels and water at the desk. On the downside, the bathtub didn’t have a stopper, so you have to buy one, and you have to pack out your own trash.

The hotel cleaning staff were extremely nice and attentive, doing their best to cover the hotel’s shortcomings. The front desk was rude and seemed unconcerned that the rooms had non‑functional showers; the shower pressure was barely better than a leaky faucet. Any small complaint was met with eye‑rolling, yet they happily added extra surcharges to the bill. If you want a headache‑free stay, look elsewhere; this is definitely not a place I would recommend.
