The property looked gorgeous, was spotlessly clean, and was incredibly comfortable before a very stressful hospital appointment. Any negative would be just nitpicking; everything was excellent.

I booked last minute at Maes Bach Boutique GUEST HOUSE and wasn’t sure what to expect. Check‑in was super easy and the host communicated excellently. The property was spotless and the facilities superb. When I first entered the room I thought the beds were much softer than usual, but they turned out to be wonderfully comfortable. The room was bright and airy and had everything I needed. I appreciated the free Wi‑Fi, which was easy to access, and the Freeview TV. On‑street parking is free for 2 hours between 9am‑6pm, so I could leave the car overnight and until 11am the next morning without any hassle. The bathrooms were immaculate and some toiletries were provided. I could make tea or coffee anytime in the kitchen, which had a generous selection of supplies. The only downside was that there is a fair amount of construction work around the area, both front and rear on other buildings, but it seems to be all around Aberystwyth and didn’t cause any real issues since the noise was limited to working hours; the property has no control over this.

Close to amenities, nice and clean, with a good communal area. Nothing to note.

The décor was absolutely stunning, with a clear eye for interior design that made the place feel truly beautiful. I stayed in the attic room on the 3rd floor, which had everything I could need: a super comfy bed, a fantastic shower, and lovely touches like toiletries and fluffy bathrobes. I would have liked a kettle in the room since I was alone, but the spotless shared kitchen offered a huge selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, and milk in the fridge. The sitting room sofa looked divine, but I was more focused on the shower and the beautiful bed because I was moving my son into his student house. I felt very safe, and the location was just a street from the promenade. The host has really thought of everything. I couldn’t find any real negatives, but if I’m being picky, parking caused me some stress. The sign says “off road” yet the drive only fits two cars, and the host suggested parking to the left of the house, but there were clamping signs warning of a £100 fine. Parking was important to me because I had my own car, so I eventually managed to get on the drive. The street is one‑way, which threw me off a bit, but it definitely wouldn’t deter me. I’ll definitely stay again when I visit my son.
