The location is fine, but the place feels very dated with minimal facilities; there’s no hairdryer or heater in the bathroom, so I wouldn’t want to stay there in winter. The cleaning cloth and trash from a previous guest were left in the bathroom.

The food was fab, yet the room wasn’t as nice as it could be; the edge around the bath was a bit gross. Out of the 4 places we stayed this trip—Christchurch, Twizel, Greymouth, and Picton—this was the least fave; for the price it wasn’t good value, and the room was very tight. Plus, so random but you only got one spoon and one knife.

The food is fantastic, and the bar is great. I think the rooms in Greymouth are overpriced; you can stay in a nicer place in other towns for much less and get better rooms.
