I can’t find the right words to explain how amazing my stay at the Lawrence Hotel was. I had booked the Hestia Hotel last minute for my friend and her daughter, who were traveling from Lithuania to support me at my bikini competition. I’d already booked another hotel for myself and my kids, but it was pricey, so Hestia seemed like the perfect choice—great look and a better price. When we checked in, we were thrilled to learn we’d been upgraded to the Lawrence Hotel. What a beautiful surprise! The hotel’s antique style is gorgeous, everything is kept to a high standard, and it feels full of character, elegance, and charm while still being super comfortable and welcoming—more beautiful than I expected. The owner, Emmett, was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more special. My friend loved the hotel, and I admit I was a little jealous! I would have happily stayed there myself instead of the hotel I’d booked, which was supposedly the more “posh” option according to the reviews. Sometimes the best places are found by chance, and the Lawrence Hotel was definitely one of those discoveries. Thank you, Emmett, for such a lovely experience. We’ll remember our stay and would happily recommend the Lawrence Hotel to anyone looking for something beautiful, unique, and full of character. The only issue was that the towels and bathrobes were used and not washed, but we’re not fussy and used them anyway.
The place was a complete shambles.
The location was excellent, but there were many stairs and the key pickup was unclear.
Everything was great— the décor and facilities were fantastic, the service was flawless, and the place was very well managed.
“Hestia House”
The hotel was exceptionally clean, and I loved how powerful the shower was. The bed was very comfortable, so I slept well. The furnishings and facilities met all my needs, and the room temperature was perfect. Breakfast at the Lawrence was delicious, and overall it was good value for money. All staff were very attentive. I was a little disappointed that the TV remote didn’t work on the dining room TV, and the movie room smelled like garlic from other guests, so I didn’t use that facility.
