“If you're on a strict budget, don't mind zombies, and have a show to catch at the GAMH... perfect.”

The location was great because it was close to where I needed to be. That said, the neighborhood is very “inner‑city” San Francisco and shouldn’t be considered for a family or wholesome environment. I’ve lived in the Bay Area before and have been to the city many times, so this was expected and almost welcoming to me. Not every plug in the room worked, and the TV picture looked straight out of the late ’60s, so I just streamed YouTube on my laptop.

The bed and facilities were clean. Luggage storage was available and the hotel was close to town even though the area was rough. The blinds were broken, there was no housekeeping during my stay, the lift was dirty, and the area was pretty rough. It’s a motel, so I didn’t have high expectations.

The bed was decent, but there was no courtesy, no cleanliness, a lot of street noise, and many vagrants.

“Motel Fentanilo & Homeless”

The place sits on the worst street in San Francisco; we had to leave early because of terrible hygiene and safety conditions, and the hotel never replied while Booking left me stranded. We couldn’t even shower because the shower was off and there was no soap, and the toilet chain kept coming loose every time you flushed. The bathroom even smelled like pizza. When we arrived, they took a while to open the door and a guest had to open it for us. At night a homeless person climbed onto the balcony and started making strange noises at our door. The windows’ insulation was poor and we could hear fights from the street at night. The floor was dirty and slippery. The elevator had cobwebs and seemed never to have been inspected, plus it smelled like a vagrant. The hotel’s surroundings were awful: the street was full of fentanyl‑using homeless people. It was a disaster that forced us to leave early.
