The hotel is within a 5‑minute walk to REWE to go Aral, a fuel‑station‑style market that quickly solved my water issue; the items inside are pricier than the outside market but the proximity is convenient. Walking to the U-Bahn takes 10 minutes, so transport is fairly convenient. Unfortunately, the room I originally booked was unavailable because the hotel had closed for major renovations, so they moved me to Holiday Inn the Niu. I had to drag heavy luggage, call an Uber, and only received the closure notice the day before – a real shock. At least a staff member stayed at the desk to inform me and watch me get on the Uber. The new hotel’s entrance requires stairs, which is extremely inconvenient for heavy luggage; a ramp for disabled travelers would have been a must.
