The hostel is simple but very clean and comfortable. The best part is the welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home and you quickly meet the locals. I recommend it. It’s on the Northbridge party side but far from the noise. It lacked reading lights on the bunk beds and shampoo in the showers.

The location is great, easy to eat out, and the city centre is within walking distance. Towels cost 7 AUD each, coffee, washing, and drying machines are coin-operated, and the hair dryer has an overheat protection. There are no bed curtains, and the kitchen is very limited with only two taps, two integrated cooktops, and the cooking time feels like a battle. Heating is insufficient and everything feels cold; the pipes make a loud noise. Even during the agreed quiet time at night, the pipe noise was still loud. I woke up at 6 am, but was disturbed by the noise.

New hostel, clean and well managed. The main lounge/café is lovely, with a table that encourages making friends without causing distractions. There are few bathrooms compared to the rooms, and a small night light in the bed area would be great.

The location was fine, but the room was very cold, there was no bedside lamp—just a single bright light that lit the whole room—and the upper floors had no private space, so it was unfortunately noisy.

Clean and good location, but the rooms were next to the bathroom, kitchen, and lounge, making it super noisy with constant door banging and the hand dryer turning on; you’re given sheets at reception and told to make your bed—first time hearing that! Also, you must strip the bed on checkout, which is normal, and there’s a $70 breakage deposit hold per person, again a first for a hostel.
